Subject Offer 2024 Entry
The Sixth Form curriculum is flexible and wide-ranging, offering a diverse selection of A Levels and vocational courses. In addition to the subjects listed we have now added A Level Photography, and Diploma in Performing Arts (Level 3) to start in September 2024. Options in the Design Technology offer include A Levels in 3D Design, Textiles or Graphic Communications (students can pick one of these three subjects). The Cambridge Technical award in Business is new for 2024 and replaces the Financial Studies certificate - this represents a more vocational course in Business than the A Level whilst still offering progression routes through to apprenticeships and university. Full course details on all subjects will be available in the revised Course Brochure, available in printed and online form on Thursday 9th November at the Sixth Form Open Evening.
Our Sixth Form Centre is bright and welcoming with its own teaching, study and recreation areas and our students are always involved in exciting extra-curricular activities. Students are expected to make a commitment to the life of the school by serving as important role models and ambassadors for the younger pupils.
St. Mary's Sixth Form is the natural choice for students as they prepare for University, apprenticeships or employment with all the benefits that our school offers. Students benefit from the highest standard of pastoral care, with a comprehensive tutorial and careers programme, including full support for Oxbridge, Medicine and all university applications, apprenticeships and other post 18 routes.
