Red Wednesday 23rd November 2022

On Wednesday 23rd of November, we would like each child to wear an item of RED clothing, in addition to their school uniform, to show support for Christians across the globe who are suffering persecution today.

On Wednesday 23 November, we would like each child to wear an item of RED clothing, in addition to their normal school uniform, to show support for Christians across the globe who are suffering persecution today.

The red item could be a coat, scarf, hat, gloves, tie, hair accessory, watch, lanyard, shoelace, etc. However, this does not include red ‘make-up’ (e.g. nails).

#RedWednesday 23 November 2022 is organised by the Catholic Charity, Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), who support projects in over 135 countries worldwide, including distributing food baskets, providing medical aid, and rebuilding homes and churches. There is a great need for this charitable work as 75% of all instances of religious discrimination worldwide are directed towards Christians. Millions of Christians experience discrimination, injustice, assault, kidnap, forced conversion, torture and death as part of their daily realities. Please show your support and find out more by visiting https://acnuk.org/our-campaigns/redwednesday/

To show our support, we are asking that students donate at least £1 (one pound), that can be payable via Parentpay. Fundraising is an important way in which we can support others, as funds collected have helped support over 5,000 projects in the last year. It is important we teach our young people to find their voice, and as Catholics, we join in unity and support those experiencing persecution and injustice.

Thank you in advance for your kind and generous support it is most appreciated
