This section is aimed at employers who wish to engage in supporting the careers provision and careers events at St Mary’s Catholic School.

We recognise and value the importance of working with local employers in order to support our career provision at the school.

We are keen to establish firm links with employers who will be able to enrich our students’ education, inspire them to want to achieve their best and to show them new possibilities within the world of work. 

We welcome employers into school to discuss their sectors with students during National Apprenticeship Week, Science Week, National Careers Week and other occasions to show and sell students their field of work.

We are always seeking employers to support our events including:

• Having a stall at our Careers Carousel
• Year 10 and 12 Work Experience placements
• Mock Interview days
• Enrichment Week
• Present in our Assemblies /present a Careers talks
• National Apprenticeship Week
• National Careers Week
• Science Week
• Green Careers Week
• Employability talks, CV and Interview Skills Workshops
• Link with curriculum areas to show students how their learning in specific subjects can lead to various careers
• Answer questions posed by students (networking in small groups)
