‘Hero or Heroes of the Pandemic’ -Years 7/8/9 Art Students June 2021

All our Key Stage Three Art students have taken one lesson from the usual scheme of work in order to participate in the competition which is open to all students in the UK aged between 4 and 14. The students were asked by Royal Mail to create a design based on their ‘Hero or Heroes of the Pandemic’

The winning eight designs will be made into a limited edition stamp by Royal Mail to celebrate the contribution of key workers and individuals during this time. We are going to shortly announce internal winners for school prizes also but I wanted to share some of the designs with you which represent some lovely independent creativity and reflection on the student’s and experience during the global pandemic. The Art department are delighted as almost every-one in Key Stage Three has handed in a competition entry. You will see on the next few pages some tremendous efforts form our lower school students. We are exceptionally proud of them!
