Bridging the Gap from GCSE to A Level
The move from GCSE to A Level can be quite a daunting one. Students will be given the tools with which they will become more independent in their studies which will in turn mean that they will gain the most from their courses. Preparation, additional reading and research can all support this new level of independence and challenge. Bridging the Gap is a short document which is intended to give students an insight of where they can start to look for additional materials to support their studies. This should start as post GCSE Summer Reading and continue throughout Sixth Form. Please ensure you have read and made a start on the work that is outlined in the booklet in the subjects you intend to take in September. In addition, do ask Subject teachers questions on Results Day about the course and the work load.
